Description Stainless steel barrel nut for installing a barrel on a Savage large shank action. Eliminates the need for a special wrench for installation. The skirt portion of the nut (that slides over the barrel shank) has an ID of 1.141″ . Your barrel shank OD must be smaller than 1.141″ to use this nut. Flat sides for use with a conventional 1-1/4″ open ended wrench. For Large Shank Savage Barrels. Use 1-1/4″ Crows Foot Wrench to install. Torque to 65-75 foot pounds.
