The cabinets are available in the 4-ft. Model 1284 and 6-ft. Model 1286 units. The Forma® 1284 and 1286 biosafety cabinets are designed with a frameless glass window that ensures a clear, unobstructed view of the work area. The large 10-inch sash opening also enhances the operator’s mobility and depth of reach into the workspace without compromising protection. The patented, high velocity Vortex Channels provide added product, user and environment protection. These move the turbulent air into the return air system, minimizing the dangers of particulates escaping from or entering the cabinet. The 3/4 HP blower/motor integrated in the Forma® biological safety cabinets provide enough reserve airflow capacity. This makes the unit accept up to a 230% increase in filter resistance and still meet NSF recommended airflow specifications, extending filter life and reducing maintenance costs. The Forma® biological safety cabinets’ UV interlock provides additional safety by prohibiting UV light operation, unless the sash is fully closed.
