Product Description The ÄKTA ready™ system family consists of a range of single-use liquid chromatography system options that are built for process scale-up and GMP manufacturing. The systems use disposable flow paths and prepacked columns to enable flexibility and speed in bioprocessing. Fully disposable flow paths for gradient or isocratic configurations are quick to install and validate, improving productivity with quick campaign changeover. Single-use flow paths mean no need for system cleaning validation, and minimized risk of cross-contamination between products/batches. Well suited for clinical scale-up of monoclonal antibody (mAb) processes as well as for production of sensitive biologics such as viral vectors, nucleic acids, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADC’s). Supports prepacked columns like ReadyToProcess™ columns packed with Cytiva chromatography resins. For rate ranges from 3 L/h to 510 L/h with two sizes of flow kits on one platform. Processes can be scaled from bench-scale ÄKTA ready™ 450 system to ÄKTA ready™ system and ultimately to ÄKTA ready™ XL system which can support purification of drug substance from 2000 L bioreactors. Extensive product documentation and regulatory support is available to facilitate implementation in GMP environment. ÄKTA ready™ system is available in four standard configurations. The basic system is available in isocratic or gradient configuration with essential functionality and sensor capability for most common chromatography operations such as mAb and recombinant protein purifications. ÄKTA ready™ variable UV system builds on the ÄKTA ready™ gradient system by including a three-wavelength variable UV sensor (206-700 nm) and an integrated single-use pH electrode in the flow path to enable closed processing. These features support applications such as separation of full and empty adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsids and purification of nucleic acids. ÄKTA ready™ extended system builds further on the variable UV system by adding additional sensors and valves for enhanced functionality, an integrated human-machine interface (HMI), and capability to monitor and control Xcellerex™ XDUO mixers.
