Description Stainless steel barrel nut for installing a Savage style barrel on a Remington 700 action. Known in the industry as a “Remage” nut or Rem/Age nut. The skirt portion of the nut (that slides over the barrel shank) has an ID of 1.092″. Your barrel shank OD must be smaller than 1.092″ to use this nut. This nut can also be used to mount a custom barrel on a Weatherby Mark V action. Flat sides for use with a conventional open ended wrench. 1-1/16″ x 16tpi thread Use a 1-3/16″ Crows Foot Wrench to install. Torque to 65-75 foot pounds.
