This necklace is crafted with love in my Dorset studio using recycled sterling silver and 9ct rose gold. Each piece proudly bearing full British hallmarks. It’s elegantly suspended on an 18-inch belcher chain. In Celtic folklore, the hazel tree is steeped in symbolism, often associated with wisdom and knowledge. This connection is echoed in the Gaelic language, where the word for nut, “Cno,” bears resemblance to the word for wisdom, “Cnocach.” To create these unique pieces, I draw inspiration from nature, collecting birch leaves to serve as templates. Each leaf is delicately traced onto a sheet of sterling silver, then hand-sawn out. Since each leaf can only be used once, every necklace becomes a singular one of a kind. I imbue the silver with texture through gentle hammering or engraving. A central vein is then soldered down the middle. The back of each piece of jewellery bears a stamp denoting the species of tree from which the leaf originated. Due to their handmade nature, slight variations from the product photos are to be expected.
