The WMA Dagger blade is a more period length 10″ long blade with a wider, but thinner, flat profile and a hot-rolled tip for extra safety and less need for a rubber tip. It has a central tang that is sandwiched between two bracers for stability. The end of the tang is threaded for ease in replacing the blade if it gets too chewed up. Because they are short, they can be stiff – but they still pass SCA-legal flexibility requirements. They are usually paired with the Economy straight quillion dagger guard, a plastic handle, and your choice of dagger pommel for a fast, light, cheap parrying option.
